Can things get any hotter in this war? The answer is YES! In the last 24 hours this is what we are witnessing:
The Middle East
- The Houthis of their own admission attacked two Saudi Tankers in the Red Sea.
- One of the Saudi Tankers by the Houthis was struck and unfortunately caught fire.
- President Trump has issued warnings to not only the Houthis but Iran for any future attacks.
- President Trump has warned of unprecedented attack on Iran.
- Brent crude above $100 a barrel.
- The US Conducted another round of strikes last night, making it 12 consecutive nights in a row.
What we are Watching
- Will the Saudis retaliate?
- Will US Navy escorts begin shooting down missiles and drones?
- Will Israel join strikes against the Houthis?
- Will there be any attacks on US Vessels?
- Will Iran physically close the Strait?
- Will insurance companies halt Red Sea coverage?
- Will shipping companies suspend transits through the Red Sea be suspended?
We are in a very precarious position right now and I am not sure if anything can stop what is coming. These moves by the Houthis today has marked a severe escalation in the conflict and we could see other nations begin to join this war if cooler heads do not prevail.
